Stowe Police is investigating several vehicle break-ins while vehicles are parked on the Mountain Road at various recreation areas (Notch at Long Trail and Bingham Falls parking area). Many of these vehicle break-ins are occurring while people are hiking during the day.

If you know of any visitors, customers or citizens that plan on going out and parking their vehicle in these areas, please tell them not to leave any valuables in the vehicle. Items previously taken include pocketbooks, wallets, credit cards, cash, and clothing.
